Duff shines on Rocket Queen and Its So Easy. Axl and Slash don't disappoint either. Slash and Izzy are a great combo on guitars and Slash is on fire on his lead solos and lead guitar. EVERY song on here is a hit and no filler found.
This is by far the greatest rock CD ever created. If you care at all about music and rock you must own this album. Adler's drums are a great fit for the hard and fast rock of this group and Axl has one of the best voices of all time. It really captures the spirit and essence of rock and roll.
My personal faves are Paradise City,Sweet Child O Mine, Nightrain and Rocket Queen. This album as it all and should be in anybodies top 5 albums and everyones collection. From the moment you hear " Welcome to the Jungle" blast through your speakers you know your going to get your ass kicked the whole ride. Slash, Axl, Izzy,Duff Mckagan and Steven Adler all have a a chemistry that is like any other.
Get with it UMG. The rating is for the CD sound quality , which is lousy. Way overdue for a reissue.
For around $10, I had a new copy in my hand in less than a week. Quality, great. I was sitting around with my husband a few weeks ago having a drink. Speed of service, great. Love it. A Guns 'n Roses song came on and we got into a discussion about which song from Appetite for Destruction was the best. I said, "I've lost my copy of Appetite at least three times; I should just go on Amazon and order another one." So I did.
band on the sunset strip on this tour imagine seeing g,n,r at the whiskey or the key club on the apetite tour.well in my opinion the killer tracks are;night train,mr.brownstone, welcome to the jungle, pardise city,it,s so easy, sweet child of mine and rocket queen.i would like to see affordable remasters of g,n,r,s back catalog.hopefully one day.if you are a g,n,r,fan you know this album is a must if you are a new comer to g,n,r, this cd would be a good start. guns,n,roses amazing debut album;apetite for destruction was released in late 1987 and is one of the strongest hard rock band debut albums ever.guns,n,roses kicked off their successful but troubled career with a bang with this one.from the opening track welcome to the jungle you just knew this album was gonna be kicka@@ rock with a gritty sound and a bad a@@ atitude.i wish i would have seen this L.A.
great debuts are hard to top. this is one of the 3 best debut releases ever.GNR would never again have a release this tight.
